On May 24th & 25th, 2016 eleven KHS student competed in the UIL Academic State Meet in Austin. The Rockcrusher are the 2016 Academic State Champion. Knippa dominated the state meet with 134.5 points earning them 1st place over all in State Meet.

Seventeen members of the junior high tennis players wrapped up the last tournament of year by winning a runner up trophy in the Uvalde Jr. High Team Tennis tourney on April 29-30.
Congratulations to all athletes who have been selected as this years District 31 - 1A high school basketball selections. These individual players have been selected by the coaches throughout the district for all their hard work on the basketball court.

All nine KHS tennis players who competed at the Region IV Tennis Meet in Round Rock on April 18th-20th brought home first, second, or third place awards with seven athletes in four events qualifying for the State Meet.
On April 18th - 20th the KHS tennis players dominated the regional meet despite lots of rain to come home with a top 3 finish for all the players and 7 advancing to the UIL State Tennis Championships in College Station.
On April 20th the Knippa High School track team competed in the Area meet at the Uvalde Honey Bowl. All the athletes competed very well in both running and field events. The results are as followed.
