SWTJC PTK Induction

Luke Alejandro and Claire Dean were inducted into the "Eta Beta" chapter of The Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society for Junior Colleges on Tuesday evening October 2. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, PTK shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence. The requirements for induction into PTK are to have taken at least 12 credit hours of college work with a minimum 3.50 GPA as well as be currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for the current semester.Luke and Claire are Sophomores at Knippa ISD and are taking dual credit college courses at SWTJC towards an Associate of Applied Science degree.
