Diego Esquivel is a lifelong Knippa student, having started attending when he was in pre-k. The most fun experience of his school career has been making new friends and hanging out with friends.

Esquivel has been involved in tennis, track, FFA, cross country, and UIL. He has been a state runner-up in tennis, a regional qualifier in the mile and two mile runs in track, and a cross country state qualifier.

Stock Show has been Esquivel’s fondest memory. He has been on the Lindner Show Pigs Team, allowing him to show his stock year-round.

Esquivel has received many stock show awards including: Reserve Breed Champ WOPB, Kerr County 2019; Grand Breed Champ WOPB, Leakey FFA 2019; Reserve Breed Champ WOPB and Reserve Breed Cham pion White Cross, Uvalde County Junior Livestock Show 2019; and 5th place Chester Gilt, San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo 2019.

In 2020, Esquivel achieved Grand Breed Champion WOPB, Uvalde County Junior Livestock Show and 2nd place Chester Gilt, San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

Esquivel verbalizes that he will miss both showing and sports.

“Don’t overload yourself with too much work or classes,” advises Esquivel to his under classmates at KISD.

Esquivel’s plan after graduation is to attend South Plains College to begin his studies in the business field. His goal is to complete his degree in Agribusiness at Texas Tech University.
