Maria Fernanda Morones Cortez started attending Knippa High School as a sophomore. One of her fondest memories has been the class periods in her schedule when she is able to help as an aid in the library, office or with the younger students. Morones jokingly refers to the activities that she has been involved in at school as unpaid labor. She has worked concession stands, been a library and office aid, and helped in the aftercare program. Morones plans to and advises other students to leave as soon as possible after high school. She plans to attend college and publish lots of books. Morones stated that she will miss her friends most after graduation from KHS.
