The Knippa Lady Crushers Jr. High team recorded a narrow loss to Nueces Canyon on Thursday, November 14. They were topped by the Lady Panthers 26 to 22.

Annisa Gonzalez was the leading scorer for the Crushers with 16 points.

The Junior Varsity and Varsity boys’ teams competed against Pearsall on Friday, November 15. Pearsall bettered the JV Rockcrushers with a 44 to 30 victory.

Johnny Reading led the JV with 12 points netted.

Others scoring in the game were Cameron Edwards with six points, as well as, Landon Cox, Diego Garza, and Carlos Quiroga with 4 points each.

The Mavericks also bested the Varsity Crushers, 69 to 53. Sophomore, Jaden Rattler led the scoring for Knippa with 15 points.

Zachary Patino gained nine points for the Crushers, followed by Caleb Packer with eight points. Christian Rattler and Matthew Santos both contributed seven points.

Gabriel Reyes, Preston Stevens, and Chase Williams added four, two, one point, respectively.

The junior high girls went on the road to Utopia on Monday, November 18. The Jr. Lady Crushers squashed the Lady Buffalos, 27 to 9.

Gonzalez, again took the lead, scoring 15 points of the total score. Bella Gatto scored six points.

Yadnira Salinas, Sophia Suarez, and Lexi Stevens each netted two points.

The Varsity Crushers traveled to San Antonio Lutheran on Tuesday, November 19. SA Lutheran prevailed over the Lady Crushers with a 49 to 25 victory.

Allyna Gonzalez led the scoring for the Knippa Ladies with eight points. Alesandra Gonzalez impacted the game with six points.

Katelyn Hernandez scored four, followed by Kayleigh Griffin, scoring three points.

Others contributing to the score were Anna Packer and Mia Reyes, each netting two points.

Scoring 77 over Knippa’s 44 points, SA Lutheran was triumphant in the November 19 match-up.

Gabriel Reyes was once again the lead scorer for the Crushers with 10 points. Garrett Sendejo put in nine points, with Matthew Santos gaining seven points for the Crushers.

Christian Rattler put up three baskets, adding six points. Chase Williams and Jaden Rattler both contributed five points. Also scoring a free throw, was Zachary Patino.
