The Knippa dual credit anatomy and physiology class has already begun their lab activities starting off with a dissection. This week the class dissected rats for the purpose of learning more about how organs work together to create an organ system. Rats have organ systems that are very similar to those of humans, so it is very easy to observe them and see how they relate to the human body. This dissection helped the students to identify the many different organs present in the body by giving them an up close look, and some hands on experience.
