Knippa Jr. High & High School Frio River Run

The Knippa junior high and high school cross country teams competed in the Frio Run For Hope at Garner State Park on Aug. 22. The junior high girls and boys teams both finished second overall as a team. In the junior high boys division, Tres Korcynski placed fifth, Conner Sanchez 11th, Braxton Bird 17th, Clyde Buentello 18th, Easton Smaistrla 20th, and AJ Moreno 21st. In the junior high girls division, Kiera Vanderlick placed fourth, Oakley Wilmot fifth, Emma Pargas 23rd, Roxie Reading 28th, and Avni Punalekar 31st. In the high school boys division, Michael Stroff placed fifth, Victor Ortiz 23rd, and Cash Adame 27th. In the high school girls division, Milla Vanderlick 26th, Maree Hernandez 68th, Brooklyn Moore 71st, and Tessa Vasquez 72nd.
