On Thursday, September 24th 2026, KISD hosted our annual Homecoming parade. Grand marshaled by Uvalde County Constable, Max Dorflinger. The parade allowed teams, classes, clubs, and organizations to show their Crusher Pride! A team of judges awarded the following floats with the following awards: Most Spirit - JH Volleyball Most Original - Robert Negrete, King Candidate Best Decorated - 2nd Grade After the parade, KISD hosted the traditional pep rally and bonfire. The pep rally, put on by High school STUCO, featured Knippa Cheer and highlighted all of our sweethearts and beaus. Students, staff, families, and community members all gathered at Rockcrusher Stadium to wish our Varsity Rockcrusher good luck in their game the following day. After the school song was sung, the crowd headed west, past the baseball fields. The HOCO bonfire is a long standing tradition here at KISD. Supported by the Knippa Volunteer Fire Department, the community gathered around the metal K and the bonfire. Gus Alvarado, KISD Director of Maintenance, continued his traditional duty of lighting the fires.
