Home / District News / Knippa Homecoming Parade, Pep Rally, & Bonfire
The Homecoming Parade successfully commenced on Thursday October 2, followed by the homecoming pep rally, and annual bonfire. Many students and teachers worked hard to decorate their floats for the parade. Of the many floats at the parade, there were a couple stand outs, that being the 1st grade (for most original) and 4th grade (for most spirited) floats. The winner of the parade contest for best float was the homecoming court float. Afterwards, there was a pep rally in which the Knippa cheer team showed off their performance and was followed up by the announcement of homecoming king and queen candidates. Lastly was the lighting of this year’s bonfire. Every year at the time of homecoming, Knippa lights their annual bonfire, consisting of brush from around town and any burnables that the school can find. This year the fire was lit by Mr. Gus, one of Knippa’s longest tenured maintenance employees.
